Ο Skream υπήρξε πρωτοπόρος dubstep dj και παραγωγός και μία από τις κεντρικές μορφές του είδους, με αμέτρητες κυκλοφορίες (μεταξύ των οποίων και δύο ολοκληρωμένα προσωπικά albums), εμβληματικά remixes (όπως το πασίγνωστο "In for the kill" Skream's Let's Go Ravey remix της La Roux) και εκτενείς περιοδείες σε clubs, γήπεδα και φεστιβάλ σε όλο τον κόσμο. Υπήρξε επίσης βασικό μέλος των Magnetic Man (μαζί με τους Artwork και Benga, με τον οποίο Benga έχουν ξαναβρεθεί στην Αθήνα για event του bios), αγγίζοντας την mainstream επιτυχία με τις συνεργασίες τους με ονόματα όπως Katy B και John Legend.
Αυτό που τον φέρνει όμως στο PIXI είναι η απότομη στροφή που αποφάσισε ο ίδιος να κάνει στην καριέρα του πολύ πρόσφατα, επιλέγοντας να κατευθύνει τον ήχο του σε πιο disco και house μονοπάτια, όχι μόνο στις παραγωγές αλλά και στα dj sets του, διχάζοντας έτσι τους φανατικούς του οπαδούς οι οποίοι ακόμα και σήμερα χωρίζονται σε στρατόπεδα μετά από κάθε εμφάνιση ή καινούριο του βήμα (όπως την κυκλοφορία του single Rollercoaster ή το disco remix του στο Need U 100% του Duke Dumont).
Επηρεασμένος από την πολυσυλλεκτικότητα συνοδοιπόρων djs - όπως Jackmaster -, ο Skream αποφάσισε να επιστρέψει στα clubs με τη σειρά Skreamizm, εντάσσοντας περισσότερα disco, house και techno στοιχεία, και αυτή την εκδοχή του θα ακούσουμε την Πέμπτη 5 Δεκεμβρίου, σε ένα πάρτυ που αναμφίβολα αποτελεί το πιο μεγάλο μας στο PIXI μέχρι στιγμής.
Τη βραδιά θα ανοίξει ο Winjer και θα κλείσει - ως συνήθως - ο Blue Lagoon.

Pioneer dubstep dj and producer, Skream has been one of the genre's key figures, with countless releases (two personal full albums included), emblematic remixes (such as La Roux's "In for the kill" Skream's Let's Go Ravey remix) and endless touring in clubs, arenas and festival around the world. He has also been a central member of the dubstep super-group Magnetic Man (alongside partners Artwork and Benga, with whom - Benga - he's visited Athens before for a bios event), reaching mainstream success with their collaborations with acts such as Katy B and John Legend.
What brings him to PIXI though, is the 180 degrees turn he recently decided to take in his career, choosing to change his sound towards a more disco - house direction, not only in his production work but his dj sets too, disrupting his most faithful fanbase, people that even now tend to get divided after each one of his appearances or new steps (like the release of his new single Rollercoaster or his Duke Dumont Need U 100% disco remix).
Influenced by some of his dj peers' versatility (like Jackmaster), Skream decided to make a comeback to smaller clubs with his Skreamizm series, incorporating more disco, house and techno elements, and this is the version of his we 'll be experiencing on Thursday the 5th of December, at a party that's definitely going to be the biggest one we 've had in PIXI yet.
The night's opening will be provided by Winjer and the closing by - the usual - Blue Lagoon.
